Buccal squamous cell carcinoma

elk1787

Hi all - my mom has had a recurrence of buccal squamous cell carcinoma. We've done surgery, radiation, chemo and no on to immunotherapy. Her facial pain has actually decreased quite a bit (8 Oxys to 1-2 per day) which is fantastic, but she has this horrible obnoxious swelling of her jaw that we just can't seem to shake. The doctors first thought it was inflammation from immunotherapy, then thought it was an infection, then thought it might be cancer pain. We just don't know. Anyone have thoughts or experience here?

Have you made any progress on determining the cause of the swelling. its typically either inflammation-infection, blockage or cancer. Best C
